Louisa was remembered for many things. One of those was writing the popular book, 'Little Women". She had a few different jobs in her lifetime. She became a teacher at 16. But, Louisa later decided to be a writer. Then, in 1862, she decided to be a Union Nurse. Conditions in the hospital she was working at were not suitable. Conditions were very unsanitary and caused her to contract Typhoid Fever. She wrote down her experiences in the hospital which was later published.
